*Pure Assembly Is seeking God for the healing of The Land.

*We are bringing The Church together in Assembly to Pray: Gathering The Church together in unified events to host each other in unity.

*We seek to help each other into true repentance.

*We provide opportunities for the church to edify one another, for we need each one.

Our statement of faith:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;*
the third day He rose from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

PURE Assembly Beginning...

It was a normal day, just like any other-

Kevin Mitschelen took his boys to elementary school.

It was cold, grey and raw. As the news blared on the radio, the boys in the back seat engaged in their own conversations as normal children would do on a normal day.

The normal news program came on the radio. The normal stories of strife, murder and rumor were on full display that morning.

It was depressing, and out of frustration, Kevin felt compelled to turn off the radio and pray in desperation, "Lord, please do something about this!"

The Lord responded, "Repent."
Kevin began to sob. He asked for forgiveness while trying to drive down the road. He regained his composure and asked if there was anything he could or should do.

The Lord responded, "Assemble my people at the Four Winds Baseball Field."

Kevin responded, "I don't know how to do that."

The Lord responded, "But I do."

From that engagement, a passion was born in Kevin's heart and a journey started. God was faithful.

Pastor Gil Michel shared a name for the event- PURE. It stands for Prayer, Unity, Repentance and Edification. We are eternally grateful for Pastor Michel's insight regarding the name of this movement.

Over 50 pastors and their respective congregations attended the city wide prayer meeting that night at the minor league ball park.

In 2015, pastors came back together for another PURE Assembly and the Lord made His presence known. As the crowd assembled, the temperature was scorching hot. We were fearful of dehydration concerning those in attendance. However, God had another idea. The format for the program revolved around the name of PURE.

The first person prayed for our desire to cry out to the Lord in Prayer.

The second person prayed for Unity within the body.

The third person prayed for Repentance. During this prayer time, God brought two rainbows, showing His love and desire to Heal the Land.

The fourth individual prayed for Edification.

As an extension of this ministry, a radio program developed called His Stories broadcast on WHME. One can link to

We are excited to resume that kind of prayer activity soon.

Since then, our organization has worked behind the scenes with organizations like Revive and One Cry Michiana.

We have sponsored weekly prayer meetings and look forward to bringing pastors together to humbly pray for a spiritual awakening.

To help fund this prayer ministry, we moved and set up a historical home for resale near the University of Notre Dame. Taken off roofs, repaired homes and yes, we do accept donations.
